We cleaned the sofas and seating at Blue Bird Karaoke in Gozsdu Court. Over 900 Google reviews, guests every night from evening until close - that kind of traffic marks upholstery even when nothing shows from the outside. By the time we arrived the fabric had absorbed months of it: stains, odour, a surface worn down by constant use. Regular cleaning does not reach that, because it is not on the surface. We went through every sofa and seating area with the extractor: hot water into the fabric and straight back out with the dirt. Careful with the material, firm with everything in it. A venue like this does not get a slow week to recover - it has to be ready every night, which is why we work outside opening hours.

What one visit covers

How the contract works

We visit the site first, because quoting a business on floor area alone is irresponsible: two offices of identical size can differ twofold depending on headcount and flooring. Then we fix the frequency, the time window and how keys are handled. The same team comes back, so nothing has to be explained twice. We invoice monthly.

Do you work outside office hours?

Yes, and with most of our clients that is how it runs: early morning before opening or evening after close. Keys and alarm codes are held on a named, documented basis. If you would rather not hand over keys, we work to an agreed slot with someone present.

What a weekly visit does not include

A weekly contract keeps a state, it does not restore one. Anything needed less often is ordered separately. Say this out loud before the contract, or it turns into the argument about why that was not done.

How to compare two quotes

Comparing two prices tells you nothing on its own, because they do not cover the same work. The difference is rarely the hourly rate; it is how many hours each one planned. Ask both of them the same four questions.

• How many hours per visit, and with how many people
• Are materials and equipment included, or billed separately
• Who refills the washroom dispensers, and who pays for the refills
• What happens when someone is ill: is there cover, or is the visit dropped

What it costs

On a regular contract, from two visits a month, one cleaner is 6,500 Ft an hour; a one-off visit is 7,500 Ft an hour and after a renovation 9,500-10,500 Ft an hour. The minimum per callout is around 35,000 Ft however small the office is, because the travel and the loading are the same either way. For companies every price is plus 27% VAT, said before the contract rather than discovered on the invoice.
