How much does cleaning cost in Budapest in 2026?

The short answer: a one-off visit starts around 35,000 Ft

CLB's one-off home and deep-cleaning rate is 7,500 Ft per person per hour. The usual minimum is 35,000 to 37,500 Ft because travel, carrying equipment and preparation are the same even for a small flat. Post-renovation work is 9,500 to 10,500 Ft per person per hour.

Compare the total, not only the hourly rate

A lower hourly rate does not always mean a lower bill. Eight hours at 6,000 Ft is 48,000 Ft; six hours at 7,500 Ft is 45,000 Ft. Ask every company the same four questions: how many people, how many hours, what is included and what is extra.

A fixed price is useful only when the task list is fixed. Without photographs and floor area, a fixed figure can be an entry price that changes on arrival. We ask for both, then state the likely labour time and separate items in writing.

Typical deep-cleaning totals

• Up to 40 m²: usually 4 to 5 labour hours, around the 35,000 to 37,500 Ft minimum
• 50 to 70 m²: usually 6 to 7 labour hours, around 45,000 to 52,500 Ft
• 80 to 110 m²: usually 7 to 8 labour hours, around 52,500 to 60,000 Ft
• 120 to 150 m²: usually 10 to 12 labour hours, around 75,000 to 90,000 Ft
• After renovation: 9,500 to 10,500 Ft per person per hour because fine dust often needs repeated passes
• A flat that has not been deep cleaned for years can take 50 to 100% longer; pet hair may add about 15%

Moving, office and specialist cleaning

An empty two-room flat typically takes four to five labour hours; furnished, six to eight. Before separate oven, window or upholstery items, that places many jobs between the minimum charge and about 60,000 Ft.

For offices, a regular contract from two visits per month is 6,500 Ft per cleaner per hour. A one-off office visit is 7,500 Ft, and post-renovation work is 9,500 to 10,500 Ft. Business orders are plus 27% VAT.

• Two or three-seat straight sofa: 22,000 to 25,000 Ft
• Corner sofa: 30,000 to 35,000 Ft
• Armchair: 8,000 Ft; upholstered dining chair: 3,000 Ft

• Carpet: 3,500 Ft per m²
• Enzyme treatment for pet odour: plus 10,000 Ft
• Minimum upholstery or carpet visit: 15,000 Ft

• Standard window sash up to 1.5 m: 3,000 Ft
• Sash 1.5 to 2 m: 4,500 Ft; over 2 m: 5,500 Ft
• Panoramic pane: from 6,000 Ft; balcony door: 6,500 Ft
• Oven interior: 8,000 Ft; including safe dismantling of door glass: 15,000 Ft
• Extractor hood and grease filter: 6,000 Ft
• Refrigerator interior: 5,000 Ft
